I was thinking of the types of things I own from the drugstore that I would want to be gifted and this is what I came up with.
Sensationail Polish to Gel Transformer Kit
Explanation for men: This kit includes a UV lamp that instantly cures the gel nail polish, cutting down the time it takes to do nails. There are also no paint fumes. Turn conventional nail polish into a long-wearing gel polish. I included their gel polish in this image below that you can also buy in-store separately from the kit.

NYX Matte Suede Lip Liner
Every girl wants their lips to be bigger. We love having lip liners in all colours to match our lipsticks. It's never a bad idea to buy her a lip liner.
These are my favourite liners ever.

Real Techniques Brush Kits
Real Techniques makes amazing brushes and sponges. I have a lot of makeup brushes but choose to use these ones regularly.
Where to buy: Ulta and Walmart. The kits are around $10-$15 CAD.
7th Heaven Gold Masks
These masks are a nice introduction to those who've never tried sheet masks let alone ones that contains gold. I've never used a sheet mask or a gold mask so i'm really excited to use these. They're fun.
Where to buy: I think Walmart or Rexall sells these for $3 and $5 CAD
Conair InfinitiPro AC 1875 Watt Dryer - Rose Gold
If you happen to know she has a beaten up blow dryer, a replacement might be a nice idea. This is the Conair Infiniti Pro Dryer which comes with attachments to make hair straight or curly. It has 4 heat settings and 2 strength settings. The blowing power is super strong.

Physician's Formula Makeup
These are my favourite items from this brand. You can't go wrong picking up a Butter Blush, Highlighter or Bronzer. The lip products are amazing. The liquid lip there feels so high end and smells like egg nog. The eyeliner is also great but make sure to buy it in the shade ''blackest black''.

Profusion Magnetic Makeup Brushes
These are more trendy and fun brushes. The eyeshadow brush comes with a magnetic base which you can stick more brushes from the brand to.

NYX Holiday Collection
NYX has some super cute holiday releases.
I'm not sure if they're sold only in NYX stores or if Shopper's Drugmart carries them in store. The kits are something to keep and eye out for.

Marcelle Cleansing Water
This little mini makeup remover is about $4 at Shopper's Drugmart. It's the best makeup remover ever.

NYX Pigment and Pigment Primer
These are two separate items. They're amazing. This pigment is in the shade Vegas Lights which is pure shimmer that looks like glitter. It is messy but sooo pretty and festive! It's a nice idea to pick the Pigment Primer with it so whoever you buy it for can properly use it.

Eyelashes
These are also something super fun. Every girly girl loves to wear a natural pair of lashes. This kit is nice for a beginner as it comes with everything she'll need to attach the lashes to her eye.
