Organic Lip Balm

(US$3.50 | C$7.80 for 4g)

The Organic Lip Balm is totally free of fragrant essential oils which is something I always want in a lip balm as I have super sensitive lips. My lips are also extremely chapped. I find this lip balm doesn't soften my lips as much as others do but I appreciate the low irritation formula. It contains a soothing mix of organic oils and beeswax that are pretty much guaranteed to not cause trouble. The formula feels thin and slippery. Overall, this lip balm is ideal for people who have the 'normal' level of chapped lips/lip dryness. If I had kids, I would totally buy this for them and it contains ingredients that are food-based.

Organic Magic Balm

(US$10 | C$15 for 57g)

The Organic Magic Balm is a truly multi-use product. You can use it anywhere on your skin and baby's skin. I've been using it mainly as a lip balm. The Organic Lip Balm (in the plastic bullet) is easiest to use and more hygenic for lips but if you want a waste feel and economical version of it, you can get the Organic Magical Balm. It's slightly thinner in consistency than their lip balm but hydrates the same. Sometimes balms can be firm and waxy but this one isn't. It easily melts between fingers. When you rub it into skin, it doesn't look wet or feel sticky which is awesome. I think it's overall a great product, especially for babies and children.

Pure Castille Soap

(US$18.50 | C$20.70 for 946ml)

My holy grail. I have been purchasing the Castille Liquid Soap for YEARS. I can’t go without it. It’s made of plant oils which sounds like it wouldn't clean at all but it does. It removes oil, silicones and dirt so easily and leaves ZERO RESIDUE. I buy the 946ml size (which is the best bang for your buck) and it lasts me over a year!!  I always choose the Baby Unscented version as it contains no essential oils. I use it to wash myself, my makeup brushes, non-porous vegetables, and undergarments. Even shaving. The uses are endless. If you are particularly prone to reactions to products, you will love their baby unscented line which is in the baby-blue packaging. I highly recommend this multi-use soap.

Fact: Their castile soap is 2 to three times more concentrated than conventional cleaners meaning less waste for consumers in fewer greenhouse gas emissions that result from shipping in manufacturing.

Organic Sugar Soap

(US$11 | C$17.80 for 12oz)

This is a body, hand soap, shampoo and face cleanser all in one. It contains sugar and grape juice to add hydration. It's really liquidy but it has great foaming power just like the Castille Liquid Soap. A little goes a very long way on skin but I find I need more product than a conventional shampoo to cover my hair and head well. It cleanses very well and leaves no residue. It's not as drying as the Castille Liquid Soap so i've been opting to use it on my body instead of castille soap. I only use it as a shampoo when I want to wash out hair product or hair dye as it's stripping. I think i'll purchase this once I use it up. I love it as a body wash.

Organic Shaving Soap

(US$10 | C$16 for 7oz)

The Organic Shaving Soap is a lathery soap that not only aids in shaving put cleanses skin without over-stripping. It's very similar to the Organic Sugar Soap, only slightly thicker feeling. It has a pretty thin consistency for the type of container that it's housed in but they have put a silicone stopper in the opening so that when you lift the cap product doesn't leak out. Basically, you have to squeeze the container hard enough so that the silicone 'doors' open. There is one issue with this and that is you can't really control the amount of product that is squeezed out once the doors are open. It's always about the same amount. It's not a big deal as the amount dispensed is enough to cover a limb. Anyways, this soap bubbles up very nicely and creates a lot of slip for shaving. You could even use it as just a soap. It doesn't feel as stripping as the Liquid Castille Soap which I like. If you're looking to compare this to the Sugar Soap, it pretty much works the same. I would go with the Sugar Soap myself.

Anise Toothpaste

(US$10 | C$8.70 for 140g)

This is a low-foam toothpaste made with 70% organic ingredients and helps to reduce plaque and whiten teeth. I wanted to try this as i'm trying to find a natural toothpaste to switch to from conventional. The first noticeable thing about this product was how large the tube is. This is good because I find I need twice the amount of toothpaste than I do with a conventional toothpaste. I really didn't like this toothpaste because there was no slip to it. It feels just like you're washing your teeth with baking soda. I actually wish it foamed so that there was some glide action. It does clean teeth well so there's that. And thankfully it tastes really good - just like a mint candy. It's just not for me though.
