NYX Lipstick & Liner Collection - NEW & Old Releases

Before I get into the reviews, I want to mention the Off Tropic liners are for eyes, not for lips. I was sent a lot of playfully coloured lip pr samples from nyx so I think that confused me! Especially with the red one.

Matte Lip Liner

I like these liners but i'm a little hesitant to recommend them because they are only good for a specific use and lip types. If you want a SHARP, matte and budge-proof border around your lips, I think you would like. These are VERY firm. It feels like the tip of a pen. If you apply lip balm, it helps with fluidity but I found that because these are so firm I need to go over the same spot multiple times. It's definitely a matte liner. It works amazing as a long-wearing matte base because the formula is thin and totally locks into place. People with delicate lips might feel these tug too much. Dry lips might feel these are too dry when applied over the whole lip. For myself though, in certain cases I really like that it's very firm and matte. If you're not a fan of creamy lipstick-like formulas, you might like these.

Butter Gloss
I really like this gloss. It's thicker and medium-coverage. The shade praline is a medium red-brown that is best suited applied sheer or over a similar coloured lipstick. There is a fragrance that is pleasant.

Lingerie Liquid Lipstick

I adore this colour, But hate this formula. It looks so dry and thick. And it feels bad on my dry lips. Yikes. Showing Lace Detail.

Line & Load - Two-in-one Lippie

This was one of the coolest, most innovative products i've used in a while. It's like a super opaque liquid liner for your lips. The formula is so thin and the pigmentation is high. I find the wear is comfortable but I wasn't a fan of the smell or makeup removal process. It smells very chemical and clinical with a slight fragrance. When I quickly glanced the ingredients, there's no ingredient that stuck out as scary but the smell is still off putting enough that I would only use these on very special occasions. These stuck to my lips like i've never experienced. It was a process to remove not only the layer applied but the staining of these darker shades. So yea, these are fun but definitely special occasion makeup, not ideal for daily use. Get's a no from me.

Suede Matte Lipstick

Last year I bought the Pin Up Pout lipstick from NYX and loved it so I was eager to try this lipstick from the brand. 

I would describe the formula of this matte lipstick as moussy and light. It's not like a highly hydrating lipsticks with all the emollients in it. It's so interesting to me how thin it feels in a swatch but how pigmented it is. If I were to close my eyes and run my fingers over my hand swatch, I almost wouldn't know lipstick was on it. I highly prefer this lipstick over a matte liquid lipstick any day. This gets a yes from me. Showing Free Spirit.

Lip Smakcing Fun Colors
EW. This is the grossest lipstick in the entire world. Performance is fine but it smells disgusting. Avoid at all costs lol.

Soft Matte Lip Cream
This is  such a cult classic but i'm not into it because I don't like the fragrance or colour. It's a moussey 'liquid' lipstick with a full coverage. I do like the formula however. I have the shade London as shown in arm swatch.

Pinup Pout
I love this lipstick. I have the shade Silk and I love it because it's not too cool, too coral or too beige. It's gorgeous for my super pale skin. It is light though, but not so light that it looks strange. The formula is very comfortable on my dry lips, covers very well but does transfer easily as it's quite creamy. The only thing is, I feel like I have a slight burning with this one too. I guess I have sensitive lips.
