The F80, it's sister brush is a 'cult classic' in the beauty world. Where the F80 is a straight cut meant for liquid foundation, the F82 has a rounded edge and a slight dome cut that can be used to blend powder, cream AND liquid products. It can do everything the F80 does. I think I prefer the F82 because of it's slightly rounded shape. I don't have the F80 but I have the same style kabuki brush from other brands. The shape of the F82 may be better for blending makeup lines out because of it's rounded edge. It also blends foundation in the nose crease area better as well as beautifully diffusing contour.
ThE bristles on this brush are very densely packed. There is a little give but it's one of the most firm brushes I have. It's great for buffing deeply into skin. I would recommend a brush with more give though if you have sensitive or acne prone skin.
Instead of painting foundation into skin, the rounded top is held flush against skin to buff foundation in a circular motion. The size looks a little small at first, but it's good. Maybe not the fastest because of the small size but it's great for getting into the more narrow areas of the face like the temple area, under eyes and corners of the nose. The finish is clean looking.
It's not my favourite foundation brush ever but it's good. It's $25 USD on the Sigma website. You can get 10% off your order by using my code: FLUORES10.
