There was once 24-25 shades of the Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation (depending if you were on the Sephora or Tarte website). Recently, Tarte released addition shades making the new lineup 40 shades!! I have 16 shades to show, unfortunately none of them are any of the new shades. The shade range before was good and excelled in the medium and mid-deep tone department. I found there use to be arguably 2 shades missing in the original lineup; a deep ebony shade and an almost white shade with yellow, neutral or olive undertone rather than a pink one. The new line has an AMAZING selection for the deepest of skintones now. I'm also quite happy with the new very light shades available.

MY SHADE:
Out of the shades I have, the closest match to my skin is Fair Sand. I have incredibly pale neutral-olive skin.
My skintone is about:
MAC NC 15-20
MUFE Y225 / 117 (perfect match)
TOO FACED Peach Perfect Foundation in Snow
MEHRON Light Olive (perfect match)
Fair Sand is a perfect match to my forehead. When wet, it matches my neck and jaw perfectly but like every liquid foundation ever made, when it dries it becomes a touch too peach and dark. It's too peach and half a shade too dark for my neck but I can make it work. I'd like to see an even lighter more yellow or olive shade rather than a pink toned one. Update: now that it's summer, this shade matches very well.
