Review | Lise Watier Hydraforce Hydra-Protective Comforting Creme

Note: Glamsense by Topbox sent me this cream. I've been using it for about two weeks. I have super sensitive breakout-prone skin with dry patches, dry cheeks and an oilier t zone.

I think this is a nice cream. The only thing that would prevent me from buying is the price and packaging. The packaging is a beautiful glass jar, but a pain in the butt. It sort of tricks you into thinking their is more product than there is. I would also like to see the fragrances removed even if it doesn't give me a headache like scents often do. It's not super strong like a Yves Rocher moisturizer. It's a milder scent, fresh and cucumber like. Honestly, I don't know how to describe it. But fragrances in creams are something i'll never understand.

That aside, I LOVE the thicker, creamy consistency, It feels amazing. It soaks into skin and or dries down in a minute or two so that there is not a wet feeling to my skin. But there is a feeling of creamy moisture on my skin. This cream will not ball off your face therefore is good for use under makeup. The first four ingredients are water, glycerin, butylene glycol and dimethicone. These ingredients make it a decent foundation primer in my opinion. My skin seems to stay moisturized longer than what some of my other moisturizers do. That's nice.
Pros:
- Moisturizes perfectly
- Paraben free
- Not greasy
- Soaks into skin
- Some nice ingredients like Gaspe Algae Extract
- Canadian company
- Not tested on animals
- Controversy free company

Cons:
- Glass jar
- Pricey.
- Mild fragrance/cucumber scent
- Limonene, geraniol, citronellol, fragrance ingredients of concern for sensitive skin. Possible allergens, toxicant.

Cost: $45 CND for 45 ml ($1 per ml)

As a side note, the cream came with a super cool device to test the moisture levels of skin. My skin is usually dry. I was concerned the device was a gimmick. It does accurately test moisture levels though. I tested it with use of the Lise Watier creme and a Paulas Choice moisturizer and they both gave the same amount of moisture after I let them soak into my skin. My skin was decent in moisture but after applying Lise Watier, my moisture levels went way up and then lowered as time went by. It didn't take much time for the moisture content of my skin to go down. I'm not sure this lil' device is for sale. It's totally unnecessary but so cool and I find myself often using it!

Yea, I do have dry hands.

This testing device takes a few seconds to give you your moisture results
